Courtney Banayad
Managing Director and Cofounder
Courtney is a co-founder of Moxy Group and an accomplished fundraiser who believes philanthropy is a tool for social change. She honed her fundraising skills at several social justice organizations, including Global Greengrants Fund, where she raised more than $10 million to propel grassroots environmental action. Courtney holds an M.A. in Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver and a degree in Asian American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She also serves on the Board of Directors at the Chinook Fund, a Colorado-based social and economic justice grantmaker. Courtney lives at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills, where she gets up early for sunrise hikes and always has a pint of ice cream in her freezer.

Karla Flemming
Art Director
Karla is a graduate from Colorado State University with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and a minor in Information Science and Technology. She is passionate about utilizing traditional and new media in innovative ways to inspire diverse audiences. She brings prior event experience to the Moxy team, and has created customized event identities and worked to inspire university donors. Karla’s love for art and design means she can often be found drawing and painting, rearranging cluttered spaces, or spending ample amounts of time in nature.

Lem White
Creative Director and Cofounder
Lem is a communications strategist and co-founder of Moxy Group. He has served as head of product at Donately, a digital fundraising platform for nonprofits, founded three companies, and has been a communications director for various activist groups, as well as at North Star Fund, a foundation focused on funding grassroots organizing. Lem specializes in crafting brands, campaigns, and technologies that center inclusive and equitable storytelling. He studied political philosophy at San Diego State University and The New School, and loves to debate about culture, technology, and politics.
